#EldenRing feels kinda like Elder Scrolls without broken physics, and with much harder combat. Huge open world, loads of lore, plenty of little optional dungeons that have nothing to do with the main story mission.

I'm having a great time.

This dragon scared the life out of me. I was on my way to check out a group I saw by some old ruins and he just swooped in and murdered all of us before I realized he was there. So I had to get revenge.

@gerowen Have fun! In my opinion, Elden Ring is at its most wonderful when played blind. It's definitely one of those games I wish I could play for the first time again.

@richarddegenne This is only my second souls game; first was Dark Souls which I just finished recently. I'm trying to go into it totally blind and just experience it organically because I feel like that's how these games are intended to be played.

@richarddegenne I've shared a number of screenshots on Steam if you'd like to check them out. If they look a little crunchy it's because I've been playing on my Steam Deck and when it's docked the output resolution is 1080p, but the game is running at 720p, so there's some non integer scaling going on that makes the docked mode screenshots look a little rough, and it also seems to make the HDR colors look a bit off in the screenshots even though it looks great in person.

If you're looking for replayability, try Elden Ring Reforged 2.0, the options to randomize enemies, new weapons and spells, are amazing. Some great work by modders.

@brentec @richarddegenne I may check it out later, but this is my first ever play through and I'm planning on grabbing the DLC after I finish the main game, so it'll be a while before I have to worry about modding it.
