Thanks for all the boosts. Actually I got no idea where to promote it more. Any clues? 😅

@obrhoff More of a presence on YouTube (both your own channel and unsolicited demos) would help. All I found is a short of Jason Snell talking about Daft Music on TWiT (https://youtube.com/shorts/e8EWUAsaj6I).

Daft Music looks slick from the screenshots I've seen, but the value proposition isn't as clear as it could be. A video showing Daft Music in action, highlighting its key strengths, would be very helpful. Consider adding more screenshots and a short video to the App Store as well.

I hope this helps!

Daft Music - An Apple Music Alternative?

YouTube
@timstringer Yes I'm very bad at it. Making a video is probably something I will outsource to someone.
@obrhoff welp, I guess it's officially time to subscribe to Daft Music.
@obrhoff it is officially done! I am a DaftMusic-er, and I already come with a question: is there an alternative for those of us not using Reddit? Would you prefer mastodon posts / dms or is there a feddit community?
@niccolo You can text me here directly. Not sure if I want to be only on the fediverse.
@obrhoff sure! I didn't mean _only_ the fediverse btw, I meant _also_, but can understand it's more work to keep up with two communities!

@obrhoff Sorry if you’ve been asked this a thousand times, but I couldn’t find a roadmap.

If I’m not an Apple Music subscriber, but I use a local library with the Music app, could I subscribe to Daft and hold my breath for it to become the replacement app I’m looking for? Or, is that not a focus for you for the foreseeable future?

Thanks. 🙂

@nonnynz That’s a complicated question! I'm thinking about it since it's this often requested user feature, but I think there are several show blockers. Like mixing local and remote libraries can be too complex for the users.

I might make another product to separate these things, but I'm also not sure if people that prefer their local library want to use an app with a subscription and also there are already a ton of local playback apps to compete.

@obrhoff Understood. Thanks for the honest explanation!
