@IviChoc Dr James Hansen factors in Milankovitch Cycles into his equations, and more excluded middle may mean too much of a distance between SMOC and AMOC, for either to effectively mitigate catastrophic effects.

Could this be the pinnacle tipping point that essentially puts us back in caves?

@cauZation Yepp, agreed, sort of, methinks. The Nordic States got really nervous now, rightly so. 10-20 years is not much, and I have the suspicion that timeframe will get corrected soon to be even shorter. (Maybe NOW we could stop sitting on our hands arguing and pointing to others, and start doing something, or no? -.- )
@cauZation @IviChoc CATL had a recent electrolyzer breakthrough in the Sodium Ion battery space. It's not out of the question to incorporate liquid Thorium molten salt reactor tech, with desalination, sodium batteries, hydrogen/ammonia, medical isotopes, industrial heating, and running a production line the length of the AMOC/SMOC range. Salt may be able to be used in geoengineering GHG effects.
@numodular @cauZation
Sodium batterie tech is very promising indeed! We will need each and every feasible tech solution we can get hold of. My only concern is the race against time. I doubt we will be able to ramp up tech sustainable on industrial scale, while simultaneously for instance the food/crop supply/production breaks down globally due to exponentially growing frequency and amplitude of extreme weather events, and/or geopolitical instability.
@IviChoc @cauZation Couldn't have framed it better.
