At work, sometimes I have to run tests directly on Windows, and these latest-gen Lenovo desktops, for some reason, sometimes only have DisplayPort (the old chunky version).

I really wanted to use them only with my Studio Display at full 5K, and I found a way to do it with a single Thunderbolt 4 to DisplayPort cable.

Made me happy when it worked.

@jsnell a (very, very tiny) silver lining is lots more Windows machines support USB-C video these days than when the SD launched. I was able to use mine with an old work Dell laptop without much issue, even the webcam/speakers etc worked fine.

That said, the only way I could change brightness was to plug into a Mac 🫠 I'm mostly happy with mine still, but if/when it dies no way would I buy another. When I bought it the LG 5K was no longer available here, but the Asus etc hadn’t yet released
