So according to the UK government, Greta Thunberg is now a dangerous terrorist.
I'm beginning to think the UK government may have lost its moral compass.

@Thebratdragon I think that may be a bit unfair on Blair's first term. He did a lot of good stuff in his early years before he went over to the Dark Side.
But certainly if you take his time as PM as a whole, then the moral compass had well and truly fallen down a supermassive black hole.
Mo Mowlam.
When she died, Blair's moral compass was gone. But it took a few years before it became apparent and he sent countless people to their death by looking for WMD that did not exist.
her and him stopping listening to Robin Cook.
@noodlemaz @Lily_and_frog @Thebratdragon @statsguy
Any good stuff Blair did was mostly only due to neoliberal capitalism providing short term gains, on the back of an economy still heavily dependent on fossil fuels.
The authorities of the time did also seem to turn a blind eye to drugs use and hedonism in society, maybe as a distraction technique that nudged people away from protesting, or simply because they had been starved of resources.
As soon as the Middle Easterners didn't just hand over their oil, Blairs tune changed - I think this is also why he is so determined to be part of the Western neocolonialists "rebuilding" Gaza, its a personal vendetta - if the West had won in the war and petrol was a quid a litre, Blair would have been considered a war hero..
@statsguy @noodlemaz @Lily_and_frog @Thebratdragon
And that is the big problem. Instead of doing that, both New Labour and even to a lesser extent the Tory/Lib Dem coalition adopted a half-arsed "libertarian" attitude to "middle class" drug use vainly hoping that partydrugs users would miraculously self-regulate whilst doing very little to make usage safer or provide effective services for addiction recovery or rehabilitation.
So the NHS and Social Services ended up picking up the pieces and there's now a backlash of heavier prohibition (which also feeds the fascist pipeline, a lot of the alt-right men are former ravers)
@vfrmedia @statsguy @noodlemaz @Lily_and_frog
you see it in the USA, big words about the cartels etc, by coke heads using that exact product....
@Thebratdragon @statsguy @noodlemaz @Lily_and_frog
the USA barely attempts to enforce its drug laws, whereas the UK (a far smaller country with a more developed and centralised surveillance network) does - especially against those who drive cars (Cameron when he was in govt openly admitted he was goldplating the then new drug-driving laws more than anywhere else in Europe to reinforce prohibition).
Which is another pipeline to the fash - there's lots of middle aged folk who are bitter they can't still get away with couple of cheeky lines after a few pints and drive home like they once regularly did in the 90s/00s..
@noodlemaz @vfrmedia @Lily_and_frog @statsguy
see also sex work, the laws against both have far more to do with puritan values than any actual purpose.
It wasn't what Blair did in his first term so much as what he didn't do (ie roll back Thatcher's reforms).
PFIs......
A gift from Norman Lamont to Tony Blair to ensure the longevity of Thatcher's reforms.
@Lazarou @ReggieHere @statsguy
and the 2003 gender act only happened after court rulings made a need for one imminent.
Meanwhile in the same country.....

Worth remembering, she has been arrested for supporting the prisoners, not directly PA, so an abuse of power right there.

UK has Puppets, Most of Labour, including Keir Stalinist Starmer were/maybe still are, financed by friends of Israel. Influenced by the Ghoul Genocide state and trump.
UK is rapidly becoming one of the most Orwellian repressive country's on the planet
I admire Greta, she embodies the best of the 60's and 70's Hippie movement before we all sold out to the man we railed against.
This is also an example of how S.T.U.P.I.D. governments are. Arresting her gave her protest worldwide attention. Ignoring her and there would have been very little media coverage.
One thing for sure, I am always sincere and I damn sure mean what I say! I have no idea what you are suggesting.
Greta has her own likes and dislikes and I have mine but I don't spirit the world getting arrested to get attention.
By the way, I just read a few of your posts. It seems that you go around criticizing and name calling, like the Orange Turd ... 17 followers in 2.5 years. Good going Jack!
@statsguy It's a government, a bureaucracy, it doesn't have a morality compass. As with all bureaucracies if it can target compliant people / easy to deal with people it will do so over actual violent thugs because it makes bureaucrats feel like they are doing something to justify their paycheck whilst dealing with people who aren't going to fight back. Much easier for them to be dealing with Palestine Action than to be dealing with ISIS
@PH7831 It probably does all of those things except satisfy capitalist sponsors.
And guess which of them the government prioritises...
@statsguy does she break the law in an attempt to enforce her political views?
(It shouldn't matter whether you agree with the views or not)
@StompyRobot The interesting question to me is not whether she is breaking the law (and I don't know, that's for a court to decide) but whether the law is reasonable in the first place.
Just because something is against the law doesn't make it morally wrong if the law itself is unjust.
