David Brent 📚I'm pissed at Rusty Everett and Brenda Perkins. They showed their hands to the Final Level Boss and didn't bother to keep any cards in their pockets. That's just stupid, like running upstairs when someone invades your house. Barbie even told Brenda not to see Big Jim alone. It just seemed out of character. Brenda and Rusty don't strike me as people that you would want to grab by the shoulders and yell "WHY?!? What were you thinking?"
I'm enjoying this descent into a reinterpretation of The Mist crossed with Lord of the Flies. It's not ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ though because I feel like King is playing coy with the suspense. He doesn't need a cliffhanger at the end of every chapter. It's wearing me out.
