MST is seeking to add an Intelligent Transportation Systems Technician to our Team.
ITS Techs are fairly unique as they combine skills that one would typically see in an automotive mechanic, with a hardware technology geek.
This is an on-site role, and is hourly in nature, with a comp range between $66k & $94k annually.

Monterey-Salinas Transit is the APTA 2025 Public Transportation Agency of the year, and in no small part because of the innovative work we have been doing in the technology space.
Because of this, this position was created to expand and continue that innovation and growth, and we have some big plans for 2026, with the addition of 13 BEV Buses, as well as plans to implement new customer information systems throughout our service area.
😎 So, anyone hiring into this position can expect to be in a role that will be stable (i.e. no layoffs) as well as have opportunities to play with some new stuff.
