If you thought my life was worth saving - please understand why we, as a family of living #WarSurvivors - fully #SupportPalestine. Palestinian kids deserve to live too.

Please keep supporting them. Search for the #GazaVerified hashtag, if you're able to donate funds to assist #Gaza folks in serious need.

@PhoenixSerenity From NYT's "The Year in Pictures."
@12thRITS I looked like that child, when we first arrived at first refugees camp. My parents thought I was going to die there. Red Cross doctors kept me alive.

If we're unlucky in life & we're dealt super shitty traumatic experience cards & we've been able to overcome the odds, still be alive & have learned much from living nightmares - we owe it to others who are still struggling to survive.

It's how I try to use my survivor privilege, of being alive in a safe place. If you have more privileges than me, as a disabled POC war & polio survivor - please do everything in your personal powers to use your privileges to help others, still struggling.

Please, do your best to contribute to lifting humanity up. Especially in these fascist global takeover times.

@PhoenixSerenity Kindness goes a long way to improving people's lives. I cannot tell you how many times this year I've had people tell me that I made their day. Nothing extraordinary, just kindness and a kind, supportive word or two. There were moments in my life when someone's smile helped me just keep moving. I'm mostly better now, so I feel it is incumbent upon me to do the same to lift others up. I do it naturally, but with purpose and earnestness.

Thank you for sharing. P.S. I'm 69.

"Many years ago I was sitting on the lawn at my fathers wedding. I met an older couple and after a short time I noticed that they seemed unusually playful and frisky. I soon discovered that they had been married for over 40 years.

So I asked them their secret.

The wife said 'Never hurt the others soul.'

And the husband smiled, as their love continued to embarrass me."

@PhoenixSerenity I learned a while ago that action helps the effects of my PTSD. It took me a while to redirect the need to act in productive directions. Helping others has proven to be one of the best actions.
@PhoenixSerenity Immigrants make every country better.
@12thRITS Yes, we do ❀️ As do war refugees who were violently displaced & didn't want to leave our homelands. We had no homes to return to.

@PhoenixSerenity

Your country is lucky to have you. Thank you for continuing to tell your story and fighting for what is right.

@resplendent606 I have many PTSD triggers, viewing/reading what's happening (still) to Palestinians. Yet, my traumas are from the past colonial proxy war violence & not live, in present. I'll use my own war trauma background to try to raise more awareness & help garner more support for Palestinians. I can recover much easier than they can, under live fire

We understand their fight for sovereignty & want more people to understand & support Palestine.
