Which country’s dramas have you watched the most in 2025?
Thailand.
As of today, I have watched 23 Thai dramas (although not all of the ones I watched this year are from 2025).

Favorite actor discovered in 2025
Pondalwit Ketprapakorn. I discovered him in Reset and liked him a lot. I plan to watch other dramas with him in them, I've heard good things about 180 Degree Longitude Passes Through Us. He also appears briefly in ClaireBell, one of the GL dramas I'm currently watching.
I also liked Son Yuke Songpaisan in Shine.
Day 4
Favorite original song from a 2025 drama

A visually beautiful 2025 drama
Shine - This one was astoundingly beautiful.
Gelboys - I found this one very visually interesting; it was an element I repeatedly mentioned whenever I talked about the drama.
Memoir of Rati - I really liked the visuals... it was so pretty.

Also Pit Babe Season 1. It isn't even from 2025, but I tried watching it three times and failed every time... I just couldn't get into it. That said, I’m enjoying the new series with the main pair. I guess car races and a half-assed omegaverse just aren’t entertaining enough for me.

Day 8
Stand out secondary character of 2025
Victor Boonterdtoon, from #ShineTheSeries. Broke my heart, but I loved him so much. I knew how the story was gonna end for him because student and historical context. I loved that he knew the risk and still decided to take it because it was what he believed in.
And Ramphueng, from my beloved #Khemjira. Her grudge and rage saved me, in a way. So yeah... I liked the way the conflict with her, a powerful vengeful ghost, was resolved. I liked that she wasn't really forgiven by Khem, because she caused a lot of pain for many lifetimes, but she was given the chance to move on and find peace.

Did you rewatch dramas in 2025?
Yes, I did
Khemjira: I rewatched it before the final episode aired for emotional support.
The Heart Killers: I think I did that, too. I needed to spend more time with the characters.
Secret Relationships: With my Discord pals, it was so much fun. The commentary knowing what was coming was hilarious
Old Fashion Cupcake: My favorite ever. I rewatch it whenever I need something familiar, or a reminder that I have the right to enjoy things, even when I feel too old for them.
Day 11
A drama that taught you something new
Once again, Khemjira. It made me read about Isaan, the Isaan language (not dialect ¬¬), the culture of the Northeastern region (like morlam, the desserts, or the Holy Man Rebellion), and about spiritual beliefs of Thailand.
Not from 2025, but Winter Begonia. I didn’t know a single thing about Beijing Opera.
Also, the historical context of Shine…
But what can I say? I like when something makes me want to read more about it

A platonic relationship you loved
The friendship between Jet, Charn, and Khem, in Khemjira. It transcended lifetimes.
Wu Suowei and Jiang Xiaoshuai in Revenged Love, such pair of menaces.
The friendship of the trio in Secret Lover, it was very cute.
Also, Mok and Thee’s in Me and Thee.
Day 13
A drama you found boring
Secret Lover. I really wanted to like it, but it lost my attention at some point. In fact, it's the first drama I've ever finished watching at 1.5x speed (not 2x because of the subtitles, but still). At least I finished it, I guess. Perdón 😞
Another one that became boring after a while was 10 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 40. It started off seeming like exactly my kind of show, but it didn't stay that way. I found myself struggling to get through the final episodes

A writer or director who caught your attention
I am fascinated by the style of Boss Naruebet Kuno (director of ITSAY, Gelboys, and The Paradise of Thorns). Now, while watching Burnout Syndrome, I’m also impressed by Nuchy Anucha Boonyawatana, who also directed Not Me.

I’m bad at this because I don’t really keep track of upcoming shows or follow the anticipation around them. I will say that one drama I looked forward to for months before it aired was Shine, and it definitely lived up to my expectations.
Other than that, I really don’t care much about the “hype”

Every drama makes me think. Even the silliest ones, even the trashiest ones. They make me think about the story, the sociocultural context of their country of origin compared to my own, or about the industry and the actors. They also make me reflect on my own reality and the quality of the drama's different aspects… I really don’t think there’s a single show that didn’t make me think about something. Yes… even that one you’re thinking about.

The shirts and sweaters with magnetic teddy bears from Desire.
No, but in all seriousness… besides Shine, nothing in the costume department really comes to mind. I don't think anything else has stood out (for me, because I really didn't watch fantasy or historical).
And not from 2025: Winter Begonia. Shang Xirui's opera costumes are amazing.

I must say this is the sweetest show I’ve seen this year, I think. So, yeah… The other closest one is Me and Who

Most disappointing drama of 2025
I know many loved it, but it didn’t do it for me: 10 Things I Want to Do Before I Turn 40.
The first half had me hooked, but it lost me in the second half. And it was disappointing because it really seemed the kind of show I would have loved.

Yes, I think it was good. I watched a lot of shows and enjoyed most of them. One of them even saved me from myself at some point. So yeah, I’d say it was a good drama year for me
