I really love how "I was a teenage #Exocolonist " promotes #community engagement through its #gameDesign :

The main game mechanic is a simple card challenge, adding enough points to beat a threshold.

Where many players are naturally inclined to start developing characters attributes, spending time learning, exercising, etc - it's not what gets you cards.

Forming memories with your community members does.

I find that one of the most #solarpunk usages of emergent narrative in game mechanics :)

@alxd The conceit in Exocolonist that what you bring to a game challenge is your personal history as memories of your most-defining moments is part of the design I love most.

Later in the game the biggest cards are from peak experiences, but all throughout, it's your community that builds your strength to meet those challenges, for the sake of that community. (Or not: there are other paths.)
