This year (like the last few years) I got myself a book advent calender from my favorite bookstore.

Every other day I get to unpack a book. It can be:

One from my endless list of pre-orders
One from my let's finish this series list
One from my wishlist

Guess I will show you the 4 books I already opened and then keep you up to date :D

First book in December 2nd:

The newest book in the 'Thursday Murder Club' series by Richard Osman (from my my never ending pre-order list).

Fun fact: I have all 5 of the books, only read the first and loved it so much. Old people living in a retirement home and solving crimes? Yes please!

On December 4th, I got book four of the Phileasson-Saga, a series which takes place in the world of the pen and paper 'The black eye" or "Das Schwarze Auge" in German.

This book was brought to me by my "let's finish this series-list". Which....is a while away, this series hat like 12 books.

On December 6th I opened "This book made me think of you" by Libby Page. A book about a grieving women who gets one final present from her dead fiance: a book every month for a year (and a book from my pre-orders)

I am a little afraid, since my friend cried her eyes out while reading, but who doesn't like emotional books?

And finally we are up to date with December 8th.

It is book 3 and the last book of a series, a warm welcome for "Kings & Thieves" (English "Reign of the Talon") by Sophie Kim.

This book was brought to me by the pre-order list AND my let's finish this series list, but have I read the first and/or second book? No. I need to stop buying books before reading the first installments of a series.

This is how the books look before I unwrap them.

Wrapped in old Books-Newspapers and with a Christmas sticker to show the day I can finally open it

And now, Dezember 10th.

Today's book is the first wishlist book that my dear friend picked out for me.

It is Dragon Games by Ursa Jaumann. I think it was supposed to be a 2 book series, but I have seen 3 books with that title so far.

December 12th was another final book in a series: Ever & After - The final hour by Stella Tack. It is a twist on old fairytales. I have not read any of the three books in this series :D

And another "complete this series" book on December 14th. Gosh I am really outing myself here: Do I want to have all books in this series? Yes I do indeed. Did I read book one? Nope, not yet.

It is A wild and ruined song by Ashley Shuttleworth, Book 4 in the Hollow Star Saga.

The book for December 16th is "Da wo ich dich sehen kann" by Jasmin Schreiber, which translates to "where I can see you". I am afraid of this book. I know it deals with the aftermath of a man murdering his wife and leaving behind their child. But I does not focus on the murder oder the man who did it, the focus lies on the girl and her aunt and what that situation did to them. How they have to move on.

It was in my pre-order list, so I knew it was coming, but I am still afraid.

Yesterday, on December 18th the book I got was from the "let's finish this series" list.

It is Book 2 of Cold Case Academy by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. Finally a series where I read book one and decided I wanted to continue in the series :D

Only three books left. This advent calender flew by real quick.
