sure ok thats nice BUT HAVE YOU WATCHED DEMASCUS THO

I feel like so much "prestige TV" has inculcated us into tolerating, often even *expecting* excruciatingly slow-burn storytelling with the justification that it "builds suspense"/"fleshes out the world". #Demascus is an electric reminder that no, you don't need to do all that, you don't need to draw things out in hopes that you'll get renewed, you can just DO IT. *slaps the top of a half hour* YOU CAN FIT SO MUCH STORY INTO THIS BABY ACTUALLY

bookmarking my own post about #Demascus for easier resharing, I watched the series months ago and it fits SO MUCH into a handful of 30-minute episodes that I've been struggling to know how to talk about it all. Oh and did I mention it's on a FREE service?? (Tubi)
Everyone involved in this puts 110% into it and makes it look easy in a way that in itself is metatextual storytelling. It's Black alt-future scifi/specfic *and* comedy *and* arthouse drama, look it's just fucking peak ok pls watch it
