I’ve implemented #google ML to open the Document scanner on #android from within my ( #maui) App and it works fine.
However: on an Android Tablet the scanner UI is weirdly broken: the Lower half of the display is covered with an opaque overlay holding just the capture button. That half is hiding big part of the camera preview so the user has to half-blind arrange the document to get it completely scanned in a good quality.
Found an issue at Google from 2023!! WTF?! Any known „hacks“ as fix?

This is the issue (this one’s from 2024 - yesterday I found one from an earlier date - not sure where)

Any help is appreciated! Please boost 🚀
I‘m using #dotnetMaui to call this but that doesn’t matter. I found this issue on flutter discussions too and here at Google itself.
That’s a native problem and I can only hope that someone knows a trick or hack to fix this - as Google doesn’t seem to care 😩
