@jeanvoguet unfortunately there isn't great support for macOS. I tried the macports installation, but it was a bit buggy, and the versions tend to lag.

@jeanvoguet @reillypascal I'd highly recommend REAPER, but despite both being multitrack that's a huge workflow adaptation! Worth it though, the dev is great and I doubt this will ever happen to them. And that is perhaps the single most flexible and powerful DAW in existence.

@x0 @reillypascal I agree, Reaper is indeed the most powerful and flexible DAW, and incomparably best DAW for everything related to multichannel audio.
Paradoxically, it's also the least expensive..

It's my main tool, which I use every day with Fabfilter Pro-Q 4. But I also use Ocenaudio, which is very fast and handy for playing and editing samples.

@reillypascal I only use Tenacity on Linux.
