Is it just me, or is Tiltify a really bad platform for fundraising?

At least two years I've thought about supporting the yearly Project 4 Awesome fundraiser, but just couldn't figure out Tiltify.

Now there's Jingle Jam, and that sounds great. Some games for some money to charity. But supposedly you should be able to choose between different charities. Does anyone understand how? I sure don't.
