I believe this is a #misunderstanding of the #purpose of #prayer.

Prayer is not about aligning #God or #gods with your wants—it is about orienting yourself with what is going on and how you, as a #believer, will choose to act.

Instead of sending #prayers for someone who is facing a challenging situation, #pray for #guidance on how you can #support them.
