In my continued struggle of owning more crap than I'll ever be able to paint up, I've decided to swallow my pride and try going with quicker shader based paints - at least for factions / armies that aren't super special to me.

This particular chicken gave me a lot of concern and "trust the process" moments, but has ultimately helped build a lot of confidence that I can go this route and have minis that I'm still quite happy with.

@arcticEdge Glad to hear it come together to your satisfaction. Props on working it through the full journey despite the concerns and any moments of doubt!

@tuonel Thank~ <3. Even though I know it'll likely be fine, there's always that stupid anxious fear of "oh no this is weird and different and what if i mess up this expensive model never mind that i could just strip the paint anyway?"

So yeah, definitely a welcome affirmation for moving forward on it.

@arcticEdge So is this quicker because it dries quicker, or is the quickness related to something else?

@kerravonsen The shader based paints work by staining white (or brighter colors) on the mini with one or two coats, rather than traditional paint which is all about building layers up with multiple thin coats layered on each other.

So yeah, mostly just quicker since I don't have to spend nearly as long on each mini to get a satisfactory application of color.
