Foray into beans continues. And also I'm using this space to save recipe links. >.>
I tried another New Orleans red beans and rice recipe, this time using dried beans. It was all right - I suspect that the tabasco sauce I omitted was important, as the flavours weren't very balanced without it. Will have to see if I can find any here. Also the beans I used must've been old, they were still quite hard after 2 hours when we were impatient to start eating. https://blog.fatfreevegan.com/2006/02/real-louisiana-red-beans-and-rice.html
Meanwhile, the pasta fagioli was very tasty. It was mostly a way to use up some orzo that was getting old, but definitely want to do it again. Fairly quick to make after all the veggies are chopped. https://www.themediterraneandish.com/vegetarian-pasta-fagioli-recipe/
