Our latest desktop release, 2025.14, is removing support for OpenVPN entirely.

If you rely on OpenVPN you should stay on 2025.13 until the OpenVPN servers are shut down in January 2026.

In version 2025.14 of the desktop app, we removed the ability to select OpenVPN as a tunnel protocol.

@mullvadnet How do I migrate to wiregaurd on arch, the gui app doesn't work on arch I had to do it manually with an open vpn config file edit nvm the aur package seems to work now it had been a number of months since I last tried it
@ambiguous_yelp On Debian, I use wireguard using the wireguard package, which is available in the repositories. It works very well in Mullvad, but also in Proton, for example. I think this package will suffice for Arch: https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/wireguard-tools/ .
