Andreas Grois@PitheadStudio That was either Kerbal Space Program, which is the main reason I now work as a gamedev, or Realms of Arkania ("Das Schwarze Auge: Die Nordlandtrilogie" in German), which got me into RPGs (both digital and pen&paper).

After that... well. Not much, actually.
To a much more limited range, but still worth mentioning: Dawn of War 1 for bringing 40K in my life.
OlivetreeThe game(s) I have played the most is Civilization (part 1 to 4). I stil love to play Civ 4 from time to time.
The game that has impressed me the most is System Shock 1. It was a hell to get it running with this memory consuming CD and mouse driver in the 640KB main memory but it was an experience.
But if 'influenced' means had an impact to important decisions in my life, the answer is: none.
Games are fun and time consuming but not important to me.
I must correct myself. There is one game series that influenced my life a little.
This was Kings Quest. I played this games at a time where I started to learn English. Because nobody translated them I hat to play the English version. So these games teached me some vocabulary like 'carpet', 'pillow' or 'unicorn'.

Seit DSA 3 und Civ 2 wollte ich selbst Spiele machen und diese Spiele habe mich zur professionellen Softwareentwicklung gebracht. Also anscheinend doch nachhaltig beeinflusst
