For me, LLMs are like alcohol.

I can't go back to a world where they don't exist at all.

But, like alcohol, they're something we don't need, and when you think about your health, it's probably better if they didn't exist.

Just as you can't be drunk in the middle of the day, you can't become dependent on LLMs.

Doesn't everyone on the Fediverse think so too?

They are worse

You can avoid alcohol, avoid where it is sold, and avoid others who are using it

LLMs are being force fed to us in computer OS, mobile phones, and in the entertainment industry.
It is in the emails we receive and the social media we engage with.

To use the alcohol analogy
8/10 Drinking fountains and taps deliver vodka instead of water, you have to carefully choose where you drink

Why are tech companies giving "AI" away free of charge?
It follows standard drug pusher operations

First hit is free, because once you're hooked they can charge what they want and KNOW you'll be back for more
