Logan Five ThousandI usually look at Mastodon through a browser on my phone, but I can no longer tell if videos have Alt Text or not. One of the updates seemed to change that. Does anyone know a workaround that doesn’t involve me using an app instead? Thanks in advance.

It may be a beige.party thing. You are on 4.4.8, but your admin announced you will be upgrading soon.
Think you should just hang in there and see what happens when you are upgraded to 4.5.x

There doesn't appear to be an "alt" button like there is hide or used to have.

jerWorks for me in Vivaldi. Maybe the video you tried just doesn't have any alt text?
