I just tried rewriting a brute-force solution to #adventofcode day 1 in js and python3.12. Used #bun for the js solution, and it runs 3 times faster than the python one with the same input.
It started from a guy discussing how he bruteforced day 4, which I "accidentally" did in python and it took minutes to complete, but only 36ms with typescript and bun. Which is incomprehensible for me to even understand. Will try myself.
