💖 Yes, please. Could moreover provide a great boost for Linux on such devices as well, ideally making alternatives to Android & iOS more viable (and more common).
Steam is just wonderful in that respect. Even in case they don't go far with the idea, it's great to see them innovate.
We don't need awful software like Windows; Microsoft shouldn't be a thing in the 21st century.

If I understand correctly that you are on Linux, you can turn on proton for all titles. Most games will work thanks to Proton. In that sense, they aren't Windows exclusive. You can always try.

And in fact, one of the easiest ways to play Blizzard games on Linux is to install Battle.net via Steam. Just to say that it's helpful even for things that are not from the store itself.
I think it's this video which shows what I mean here:

It's on a #SteamDeck but would work on a Desktop Linux #PC (I recently did that both on #LinuxMint and #Manjaro).

That is a different issue that you should bring up to the devs. And if you have a problem with DRMs, then GOG is for you.
But I still argue that it's not like an exclusive: thanks to Proton, you can play the fast majority of those games in Steam, with friends who might or might not have the same OS as you have.
Note that on Steam, you can also tell the store to show you Linux-only games. I do that.
Well, I said 'GOG is for you' because I was thinking about the DRM issue... but I should have added that Steam certainly cares more about Linux users than GOG does.
Indeed, there is still no native GOG Galaxy client for Linux — it does not matter how many people have been asking for it:

They just don't give a shit.

Then you know that we are somehow forced to be pragmatic if we are to play games on Linux. #Blizzard isn't exactly Linux friendly; the situation is clearly worse and more closed on Battle.net than on #Steam: no Linux client, no native Linux games for sure, no user friendly Proton/Wine option to let people use their own OS, DRMs, mandatory logging to play offline campaigns, etc.
Valve games have been pretty gamer friendly in comparison (e.g. host own server).
