So, I'm trying to do a few things right now. I'm trying to:
1) get more physically active and fit
2) learn how to be a solo game developer
3) learn Spanish

I figure while I'm unemployed I may as well better myself instead of playing video games or binging tv shows and movies all day.

1) I've started taking between a 1.5 and 2 mile walk in either the morning or early afternoon depending on what the weather is doing. Right now I'm only doing this a few times a week, but I'd like to ramp up my cardio to everyday. I also have an under desk style cycle that I'd like to start using again.

I'd also like to get back in the habit of doing body weight exercises and I think I'll try to get a light routine going a few times a week.

2) I've watched some Godot tutorials and some video essays on game design. I've messed around with the engine on my own a little. I don't want to fall into tutorial hell like when I tried to learn Blender.

I also recently made a simple little version of Keepy Uppy using Tic80 which was a great experience. I had to luck up a few functions, but it felt good to finish something. Now I'm going to try and make it again in Godot, but up the complexity.

3) I was doing Duolingo, but that company is enshittifying at a break neck pace and after a couple years I still can't really understand spoken Spanish and don't understand grammar rules.

I found out I could get full access to Mango using my library card and I've started back at zero with that. It is super easy most of the time, but I already feel like I'm getting a much better understanding of why and how grammar works in Spanish.

@jmerchen
Is that Mango access through an LAPL library card?
@bitcrush_io Yep! One of the many excellent digital programs available through the library.
@jmerchen
Ooh, gotta look into that. Very nice.
