@camless@m.ai6yr.org Yes they are growing from wood, it’s a little hard to see in this photo because the log is partially buried in the dirt.

@Yeargh Yeah, that's my best guess. I've seen tons of different types along the entire coast. There are some interesting sub-species that look pink or blue, or purple! We saw TONS of these near Cape Blanco a few weeks ago:
