I completely missed that Kagi's Orion browser is now out of beta and released to everyone. I've been using it as my main browser on the Mac for a while and it's great. And next up: the Linux version.

After six years of relentless development, *Orion for MacOS 1.0 is here*.

@ianbetteridge
I am so down for this. 4 months of agony with safari not syncing to IOS devices from macs.

@ianbetteridge
You can do searches...and get...meaningful results...

What sorcery is THIS???

@ianbetteridge nice to see some more competition in this area.
@dgodon Yep! And using WebKit rather than Chrome.

@ianbetteridge
The absolute IRONY of seeing Orion flawlessly sync bookmarks across all my devices, using iCLOUD, in seconds.

Something 200 apple support interactions has failed to achieve.

@blabberlicious It Just Works ;)
@ianbetteridge
Breaking up is never easy?
Apple's taking it hard.
@ianbetteridge In my use with all of Orion's content blockers enabled, I still see ads on X and YT, so Brave is still my main.
@pgiulan I have ads blocked at the DNS level, using NextDNS. Recommended, especially as it also blocks a whole load of telemetry
@ianbetteridge Shame it is Apple only.
Ok, they are dabbling in Linux and might have windows late next year.
@daj Linux is coming before Windows, apparently
@ianbetteridge it's really sad that a so interesting project privilege the user of a OS that is more then any other the Big Brother 😢
@DiegoTomba Understandable, though. And Linux is next.
@ianbetteridge Giving it a spin as my default on Mac and iOS. Will be looking into it on Linux as soon as it is available for all.
