As a youngster in 1988, I asked our former game dev team's composer Ramon Braumuller if he could create an Amiga remix of one of my favorite Commodore 64 chiptunes: the short tune of the Wizardry game (1985). ❤️ the result.

I'll post the original tune in a follow-up post…

This is the original, 3-channel mono chiptune of the 1985 Wizardry game for the Commodore 64, composed by Graham Jarvis and Rob Hartshorne.

Listen to our game dev team composer Ramon Braumuller's 4-channel 1988 Amiga remix in the previous post…

@metin That's a great theme tune! 🧙 Ramon's version sounds very epic, and more importantly, it still sounds great on modern headphones! (The original version, in contrast, is quite sharp and high-pitched at times.)
@daniel 👍 Ramon managed to catch the cheerful spirit of the original composition, but spice it up with the Amiga’s better audio capabilities.
@metin Reminds me of ancient music played on a harpsichord, quite pleasant.
@mbt3d Indeed, classical harpsichord sound, a bit Bach-esque. Love it.

@metin

It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized that even relatively advanced PC chiptunes (like the ones used in the classic #SecondReality demo) were actually imitating the sounds of the #SID.

@rl_dane 👍 The SID is a legend. ❤️
