Of all times... noticed a water heater leak last night. 🙁

I have someone coming out today to check on it.

It appears it's a slow leak, as my garage is not flooded. Thank goodness!

You're lucky to have a avoided a flood.

I've had 2 #WaterHeaters break in the 16 yrs that I've owned my house & they both flooded my garage & they weren't cheap to replace either. 😡

Yeah, the last time this happened, it did flood the garage. 🙁

There's someone here now, installing a replacement.

I think the unit was at least 12 years old

@Starcade You're getting a longer life out of your #WaterHeaters than I am.

The 1st one of mine that broke came with the house but the 2nd one that I installed after the 1st one broke only lasted about 8 yrs.

Given this track record, I'll need another water heater in about 5 yrs. 🤦‍♂️

The repairman told me that I need to drain the tank periodically to get more life out of it but I always "forget" to do that. 🤷‍♂️
