I played with variations of the #nalbinding Oslo stitch. The gold is ordinary Oslo stitch, the blue is done by picking up twice as many loops, that over lap with the previous stitch.
Ignore left side. I just added a new piece of yarn for each row.
Fun fact: historically, #crochet was sometimes worked in rows, where the yarn was cut & reattached at the start. I wonder if this and other techniques were inherited from nalbinding.🤔
