@kyonshi @nash @platypus I always thought it was more because the droids can't drink human drinks (or maybe they don't drink), so they're not paying customers but they're taking up space that could be occupied by paying customers. (There's a droid 'bar' in one of the episodes of The Mandalorian that definitely isn't serving anything humans can have.)
Though I've also seen the theory that it's because in addition to all their other potential functions, any droid could also be a surveillance device, and a lot of people in that particular bar value their privacy.
(But yes, the clones got treated pretty badly post-war canonically, even if you don't consider The Bad Batch to be canonical or representative of the average clone trooper's postwar experience.
Depending on how canon you consider some other sources, a lot of the surplus droids were 'acquired' and reprogrammed for various purposes post-war, though the majority got recycled for parts.)
Its a common theme in #Scifi ; AI robots had been banned at some point in the past for being incompatible with human civilization. Currently reading #Hyperion by Dan Simmons where Robot AIs are banned. Then there is #Foundation, Robot AIs banned...
There's never a Butlerian jihad around when you need one.
