Out of curiosity, what #FediVerse applications _other_ than Mastodon have you used?

In my case, it's:

- #BookWyrm
- #PixelFed
- #Lemmy
- #NeoDB
- #WordPress #ActivityPub plugin

@juergen_hubert I have a PixelFed Instance, but I rarely use it; I don't really know how to integrate it into my social media use. I figure that will come with time.

@juergen_hubert

- BookWyrm (gave up on this)
- Kbin → Mbin (prefer the UI to Lemmy)
- NeoDB
- Write.as federated blogging feature
- PeerTube (watching, not posting)

@juergen_hubert I tried #Friendica. It has a lot of good functionality, too.

@juergen_hubert

Federated platforms I've used that aren't types of Mastodon (Glitch and Hometown):

— BookWyrm
— Lemmy (Kbin)
✓ PeerTube
✓ PixelFed

@Npars01

@juergen_hubert
- #PixelFed (i have an account, but rarely post)
- #Lemmy (I stopped using it after feddit.de went under, could not be bothered to look for another instance)
- #PeerTube (I post occasionally)
- I have my own #gotosocial server, but use a mastodon frontend, so maybe that just counts as Mastodon?
@juergen_hubert Tried some others but currently use:
- PixelFed
- Lemmy
- Sharkey
- Vernissage
- Friendica
- Kbin
- PeerTube
- Loops
- NeoDB
- BookWyrm
- Snac

@juergen_hubert

My #Fediverse usage (only as client, not host)

- #Lemmy - my 1st fed experience
- #Pixelfed - 2nd fed; unused now, pure images don't do it for me
- #Piefed - now preferred over Lemmy; daily
- #Peertube - barely used
- #Sharkey - barely used
- #Hubzilla - unused, can't get back in
- #NeoDB - heavily used now for media cataloguing, #WatchParty collections etc
- #Owncast - attending a #WatchParty 1-2 times /week
- #IbisWiki - wrote 2 pages, now prefer @JoinFediverseWiki

@juergen_hubert for me:

- Pixelfed (love it)
- Loops (following development)
- BookWyrm (use it alongside another book app for now)
- NeoDB (tracking films and tv I watch)
- PeerTube (almost never use)

@juergen_hubert
Ich habe Friendica und Hubzilla ausprobiert und habe noch einen Pixelfed Account.
Ich überlege noch Iceshrimp oder etwas in der Art auszuprobieren. Habe dazu aber momentan wenig Zeit.

#FediVerse #BookWyrm #PixelFed #Lemmy #NeoDB #WordPress #ActivityPub

@Jürgen Hubert

  • Daily driver: Hubzilla (basically the exact opposite of Mastodon)
  • Where I have two channels for posting images: (streams)
  • Only to interact with itself: Lemmy

Also, I don't use Mastodon at all.

Going right back to the beginning and including projects that don't exist anymore? I've actively used;

* StatusNet (RIP original identi.ca)
* Diaspora (RIP joindiaspora.com)
* GNU social (RIP quitter.se)
* Friendica (RIP account deleted by libranet.de)
* PeerTube (RIP peertube.nz)
* Discourse (socialhub.activitypub.rocks)
* FireFish (RIP can't even remember the URL, died fast)

#AskFedi

(2/2)

I've also kicked the tires on;

* pump.io (identi.ca)
* Pleroma (RIP plero.ma)
* Hubzilla (RIP hub.libranet.de)
* Mobilizon (mobilizon.iridescent.nz)
* Lemmy (lemmy.nz)
* PixelFed (pixelfed.nz)

That's all just off the top of my head. There are probably others I've forgotten, particularly in the 'kick the tires' category.
