Saw this one yesterday in the hospital where my grandfather just died.

This is some of the most unhinged nonsense imaginable. Explicitly telling doctors and nurses that PPE makes infection *more* likely.

It's the exact same stupid lie they said in March 2020 about masks, except there's no shortage of gloves.

The theory is that if bacteria gets on the outside of the glove, there's a ~40% chance that you'll transfer that to your hands when you take off the gloves.

And you avoid that risk by not wearing gloves.

Because it's apparently impossible for bacteria to get on your hands.

@steven Public health messaging fail No. 563829. (Also, sorry for your loss)

@steven excuse me what.

like I can understand it if you’re having people throw up fungal nail infections, but that’s more of an argument for changing more often and washing hands more often, no? #lang_en

@steven #cdcsays out of syringes? Just grab one from the used sharps container, it’s a free country
@lightning @steven (and sorry for your loss, it’s an outrage that a hospital doesn’t want to make sure they’re legible to patients’ families as 100% by-the-book on shit that matters at such crucial times)

@steven literal sign of a collapsing healthcare system.

Love how they make it the individual employee’s responsibility to save the hospital money.

I’m sorry about your grandfather.

@steven wtf
I wish this was a parody

But we are actually living in this dystopia
