I thought the red was slightly harsh but correct by the letter of the law.

Rejecting the appeal without even giving a reason is… very on-brand for the Premier League when it comes to Everton though.

@tenzochris You can't let any violence go unpunished, but didn't seem THAT bad, barely brushed his face. I was at Goodison when Grobbelaar grabbed McmManaman's face and squeezed it and can't remember if he had a yellow.

@rhysw I agree contact was weak but hand to face will always be called against us.

No idea what was said but Gueye has historically been pretty levelheaded- I’ve never seen him that angry before.

@tenzochris Maybe a spillover from something from the training ground. It's the first Everton game I've gone out to watch all season (I won't pay Sky, or anyone else), but I'm glad I have after that goal.
