Each year, in celebration of KU Leuven's Patron Saint's Day, our University honours individuals with exceptional achievements in the scientific, social, or cultural domain. On Monday, 2 February 2026, the university will award honorary doctorates to geneticist and epidemiologist Ségolène Aymé, architect Karen Braitmayer, economist and politician Mario Draghi, art historian James Elkins, physicist Raymond Goldstein, and lawyer Hina Jilani.
