It’s a #WarhammerDay miracle. I have a permanent hobby home again… 🥲

Preemptively got a Stompy Boi as a first project in the new space. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 I’ll be able to get out of the half-built, pile of bits stage and actually paint something.
An hour in and I’ve got some little stompers. So many tiny parts! I love how these modern kits come together.
Iiiit’s Blu Tack time!
Not too keen on chopping up the feet to make a running pose on my first one, how about punching stuff smaller than it?
Excess glue-goop aside, I can’t unsee the froggy onesie around the head…
Me too bruh, me too…
Talking to my brain like a pouting toddler: c’mon, it’s not scary… you enjoy this…
I think the Blu Tack added a little too much movement in the joints, I couldn’t get it back to where it was had it. Tacked this with some thin poly cement.
I think the leg position suggests the movement a little more naturally this time.
Turns out the “tack” was kinda more permanent so I’ve accidentally gotten through the mental block to a final fit-together. (Might open up the drill hand though…)
Head and body aren’t fixed in, and I should be able to crack the arms off at the shoulders… guess im onto paint! Furthest I’ve been in a build for years 😨
Put a bit of cork on the base to sink him into the ground a bit cos he’s a big lad. I just need to find the box with all my basing materials.
Side-questing hard as I want to do Imperial Fists and I still have that early 90s yellow paint trauma.
Built 3 legionaries to test out different approaches.
Euf… time to stop being scared of this model… 😅
I probably should’ve tried the approach on my side-quest miniatures before spraying the big lad… but the yellow comes out quite nicely. I think it’s the white that makes the effect. Bit too much on the aiming one.
Euf… this is still stressing me out. Nothing but bother with my very fancy airbrush.
Put an undercoat highlight on it though.
Got a layer of yellow on there. It’s a little patchy in places… can probably hide that with highlights… but the orange-kinda shading is nice.
