🌈 Lascapi ⁂

I try to install #kanata to use my laptop #keyboard with layers and #homerowmods but I don't succed !!  

It was easy to use #ergol cause it's already in the keyboard settings.

So ... How to install kanata on a #debian based distribution? ( #linux #tuxedoOs to be precise)

@lascapi : apt-get install kanata is enough for instable but, after that, I don’t know yet ;-) (stille learning)

@ploum Merci pour la réponse, mais je n’ai aucun paquet kanata, que ce soit avec apt ou apt-get... D’ailleurs ça correspond à la doc qui ne mentionne pas debian : https://github.com/jtroo/kanata?tab=readme-ov-file#other-installation-methods

Tu as pu l’installer avec apt-get sur ta distribution?

Je suis en Debian testing. Marrant, la version Debian n’apparaît pas sur https://repology.org/project/kanata/versions

@lascapi if you have rust/cargo, cargo install kanata should work

thank for your answer, I don't have it (well, maybe...) but I downloaded the binary as someone suggested, and just launch it.

And I'm happy cause it's very nice to use :)

Now I try to make it work without sudo and on the startup.
