Hey other blind people. Is there a comprehensive audio tutorial on direct touch typing? On the iPhone? I hear it’s much faster, but I don’t really get it because I seem to be double tapping keys anyway so I don’t understand the direct part. I know I’m not doing something right, but I can’t figure it out. My usual typing mode is touch typing. @AppleVis

@Flominator @WeirdWriter @AppleVis @Fragglemuppet @BlindQuilter @A11yAwareness @ChristineMalec @SoEineBlinde Yeah it's really just that you don't tap-and-lift or double-tap, you should just be able to tap on the keyboard and have whatever letter you're tapping be inserted, so you are 100% relying on muscle memory and can't do any kind of explore by touch. if that's not happening something weird is going on, my suspect would be the way direct touch areas are handled in VoiceOver as a whole, I believe there's a setting for that
