As a very disabled person, I can't work a "regular" job. And due to the actions of one of my abusers, I can't currently get SSDI either. Also, I'm engaged, so I'd lose my benefits upon marriage anyway. So my main source of income is my knitting. I am an artisan and I sell my knits at prices that barely reflect the value of the labor. As an anti-capitalist, I strongly resent having to mimic capitalist structures to survive, but it's my only option currently.
