I ran out of spoons so left event 1.5 hours early. I had such an amazing experience at the inaugural ASIA in Victoria Summit! They want me to join their team to help out with next year's events & I'm really keen to assist their cultural nonprofit 😁

I reunited with Dominga, one of the leaders at Philippine Bayanihan Community Center. We met in 2014 - when I organized a 16 bands live music concert, live painting & silent auction fundraiser event here, for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Phillipines.

I met & shared contact info with local fellow Asians, with cultural roots from the following countries: China, Japan, Thailand, Phillipines, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Korea, East Timor, Burma (Myanmar), Laos, Singapore, Pakistan & Iran! So many beautiful new local cultural connections were celebrated, today 🥰

I have several longer videos of the Sampaguita dance performances & will share links after I sort/upload them. It was a delight to see multiple types of Filipino cultural dances ranging from colonial influenced (1) to various Indigenous Filipino to Indigenous Filipino Muslim influenced dancing. All were magnificent to witness!
I am working Esquimalt Holiday Market for LifeCycles Project Society tomorrow & have to conserve spoons for that. I'm gonna be so peopled out by Monday morning. Working remotely on Monday & Tuesday👍
