it was actually many years after watching the show that I realized the clever wordplay that was happening. the Japanese title is Ijiranaide nagatoro san, and the Japanese pronunciation of “easy love” sounds like “ijira” so while I just assumed they were saying “Ijira ijira ijira naide” they were actually singing “Easy Love Easy Love Easy Love naide” which is very fascinating to me. like obviously it’s a reference to the show but such a clever way to put it in there
