@Miro_Collas @markwyner
When checking the credibility of news outlets my first move is ownership because that tells me who is influencing the editorial staff
WP: "The Washington Post, a leading American newspaper, is owned by Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon. Bezos purchased the newspaper in 2013 for $250 million, marking a significant shift in its ownership. "
We know Bezos is on Trump's side so it's likely he instructs WP to make him look good

And I run a media bias check
The Hill:
Mostly credible however:
"... however, they sometimes rush stories and have to change them after the fact. "
Also the Hill is owned by Nexstar whose CEO is now aligned with Trump

It takes time to check a news outlet credibility but IMO it worth the effort.
If you are interested in a few credible sources let me know.
Another example of the importance of checking news 'cred' is this:"
A big corp that owns much of Canadian newspapers is Postmedia and the owners can be traced to a Republican owned hedge fund. The worst of their newspapers are the National Post and Toronto Sun--exactly like a print version of Fox News
