OK, so, I need to get this off my chest…
A new strip, "Phantom 2040: A New Shadow", recently launched on #ComicsKingdom.
When they debuted it, they said it would be published weekly on Wednesdays.
They missed the third and fourth weeks.
The seventh and eighth weeks were published on Friday instead of Wednesday.
Either they missed the ninth week, or who knows, maybe it's going to be published tomorrow on Friday again.

Comics Kingdom allows users to select their favorite comics, and these are emailed to the user in a daily favorites email. I have Phantom 2040 marked as one of my favorites, but it doesn't display on my favorites page on the website, and it isn't included in the daily favorites email.
It's just mind-boggling how bad they are at this. How do they expect to retain readers for a new strip if they make it like pulling teeth to know when the strip is published and read it? smdh (2/4)
I know they can't publish strips if the creators don't turn them in. It's entirely possible that they're repeatedly turning in their work late. But don't you think it would make sense when launching a new strip to ask the creators to give you five or six up-front, so they're not running up against a last-minute deadline? And in any case this wouldn't explain publishing on the wrong day or not including the strip in the daily favorites; those are entirely on Comics Kingdom. (3/4)
This is obviously a first-world problem and really nothing in the greater scheme of things. But I just find it so astounding (and annoying!) to watch a company flail so spectacularly doing the one thing that is supposedly their specialty.
Also, for the record, they made exactly the same erratic publication mistakes when they launched Mara Llave, so it's not like these are new problems they couldn't have anticipated. (4/4)
P.S. I suppose I should mention that the reason why the strip doesn't show up in the daily favorites web page or email is, it appears, because it's being published in a new format from the other strips on the site, and they rolled out the strip with only partial supported for it implemented. I suppose they consider what they rolled out the MVP, but in my book, it's not the MVP if the features you haven't implemented yet are essential to users actually being able to follow the strip.
@jik this is one of the reasons a favorite young artist won't produce a comic....she is rule follower and can't commit to a bunch in reserve
