Being springtime in Melbourne, we've had a lot of rain. This sometimes leads to washed out shows. However the historic commercial vehicle show did happen this year but was vastly down in numbers because of the weather.
We loaded up Harry on the trailer, and took Roger to his first one, and set off early Sunday morning for Yarra Valley.
A Ford ute I spotted en route. They did not come with us.

We got there early, as we had display vehicles. And Harry refused to move. Somehow one wheel is locked in position and we could not get him off the trailer. Very sad. So we left him and brought Roger in as other vehicles started arriving.
There was a lot of water everywhere so a lot of tactical parking was happening.
This Purple Petrol Eater won I think best in show. Faaaabulous colour!

They were celebrating Bedford trucks this year, and lots of Bedfords came along.
Interestingly there were also two Bedford camper vans!
There were a lot of International trucks there as well.
The Vauxhall club came along as well. Including this wonderful 100 year old example.
Wandered back to Roger to find he'd found a parking buddy.

It kept lightly raining on and off during the day, so the sky keeps changing in these shots.
This is a commercial vehicle show, and that also means buses!
What a commitment, to privately own a bus. You need a heck of a lot of room to store one.
My favourite buses were there, the Flxibles!
Chryslers really don't seem to have any shared design language to them.
Still more Chryslers, along with the occasional Dodge.
One for @KiwiEV an EV Chrysler! I like seeing more classics being converted.
That beautifully restored wagon was there as well, the one I saw only a few weeks ago.

This blue and red truck has won best in show previously. It's a stunner.
Poor Harry, first time he's been left on the trailer at a show.
The great thing about this show is all classics are welcome.
The SES put on a demonstration, showing how they remove a driver from a vehicle post crash. It was an excellent display.
The sun came out from time to time, and the rain stayed away.
This is my favourite truck from the show because what a story!

We wandered back to Roger and his companion, the Troopy.
It was time to go home, and Roger happily took us there. He runs so nicely, he must be enjoying life in Australia.
