Possibly the most significant run I've done in years.
Two months ago today I was 'enjoying' my LDR Brachytherapy procedure, this is my first run since.
Hopefully this is a turning point and my body will let me return to running.
If you are on this, or any other, cancer journey - I send you strength.
Men - get your PSA tested.

(In the current artistic climate the plastic ropes tied to the handrail are worth a fortune.)

@sticklandtim Congratulations!
@WTL
Many thanks - much appreciated.

@sticklandtim It's wonderful to see other folks returning to running again!

…and went down the rabbit hole of reading about Brachytherapy; thanks! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brachytherapy

@WTL
I hope you are also back to it soon.
As for brachytherapy - so clever. For me it was just a day of treatment and then home to recover. 'One and done' as they say. I was very lucky and diagnosed before anything spread.
@sticklandtim Back at it today! So far, everything is feeling good, though I bet tomorrow will be different. 🀣
@WTL
That's great news, long may it last.

@sticklandtim Thanks! I'm optimistic and will be taking it slowly.

My doctor said "Don't go back to daily half-marathons for a while, okay?". I can stick to that.

@sticklandtim @WTL wow! I’d not heard of brachytherapy before. Clever stuff. Great to hear you are back out there with a run under your belt Tim. Long may that continueπŸ‘πŸΌ
@officehippy
Many thanks for your kind words, I hope to be back to running on a regular basis - fingers crossed.
(Brachytherapy - I had to do a bit of research when I was diagnosed, not offered by every NHS area.)
@sticklandtim @officehippy I also hadn't heard of it before either, and it's a pretty clever idea.

@sticklandtim glad to celebrate a momentous occasion. πŸŽ‰

Hoping you find continued positive outcomes, in health and running.

@mlawton
Thanks very much, definitely something to celebrate.
