2025 marks my 33rd year with trying to get #BCForestryReform in #BritishColumbia #Canada.

The former BC Liberals were big on profiting from #deforestation. We had some hope when #BCNDP took over #BCgovernment but that was quickly dashed. The now dead John Horgan led BC into fresh new neoliberal, ecocidal hellholes. Our current BC Premier Eby was groomed by that former colonial capitalist jerkwad. Both neoliberals & fascist adjacent, white-is-right turdbuckets. More forests were clear-cut under #BCNDP power than under the former BC Liberal asshats.

Don't buy into government greenwashing & whitewashing lies when it comes to old growth forests. Denounce forestry industry funded lobbyists BS too. We need to #BanCorporateLobbyists & to #StopCorporateWelfare to fight more government corruption.

I'm talking to two VicPD cops(not in photo). They were asking me to unchain from the door & stop blocking the entrance. I refused & said I'm exercising my civil liberties with targeted protest. Then cops asked me how long I'm planning to block for & I asked them how long their shift was. They left me & 2 others alone after that & just stood by, watching. They ended up only removing one angry white woman who had charged at us, from the sidewalk, hurling verbal abuse/threats. It went much better than when I chained up & blocked Royal Bank by Chinatown by myself - there were abusive cops at that one.

The mass mobilization protest in Victoria is happening at the same place that I chained up/blocked off in 2021. The BC Timber Sales offices are in same government building.
