For the most part I don't write about Kpop that I dislike, but I do want to say something about Fifty Fifty's recent "Eeny meeny miny moe", because it has disappointed me so much.
I feel there is a good song struggling to get out here, but everything is spoiled by the childish - not childlike - chanting.
No doubt their agency saw that "Pookie" was successful and decided to double down on the cuteness.
Although I often enjoy cute concept Kpop, this kind of nursery rhyme interpolation jars with me.
I find the B Side "Skittelz" so awful that I am not going to discuss it further.
It's such a shame, because the members are good singers, with Chanelle Moon showing in the power ballad 'Gravity" that she is a real talent. I also have a soft spot for Athena. All of them are bright and charming performers.
I don't know how well this is doing; I hope that my opinion is not too widely held, because I don't want the girls' idol careers to be derailed. I want them to succeed!
I didn't like the MV either, so here's a performance video.
