Something life-altering happened to me in August. Relatively, I am fine; a seemingly random chain of events led me to be in a place where I was able to get the life-saving help I needed. I now see each day through the lens that I shouldn’t be here at all but somehow still am. So while parts of me are broken down and everything all around is depressing and getting worse, I’ll take being above ground over the alternative.
