And that’s a wrap on “Nona the Ninth” by Tamsyn Muir. I feel like this book was still impressive from a literary perspective, but also that the characters were less engaging. I just couldn’t connect to it as with the last two. Maybe I grew a bit bored by a similar narrative structure as the last book being used again.

Nonetheless, I’m looking forward to the final (?) installment of the series, whenever that may release.

6/10, enjoyable, but no longer unique.

@amxmln it’s funny, I keep forgetting I’m still supposed to read that book. I think I struggled enough with book 2 that I haven’t felt truly compelled to move ahead (and I’m a sucker for series completionism)

@darby3 It is a bit of a struggle, but as with book two, I felt a lot of the confusion is lifted towards the end, although there are times I’ve had to read passages multiple times to really get what was going on. 😅

I’m hoping the fourth book will be a little more like the first, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see. 😅
