As I was closing the doors of the bookshop, a lady walked past with her hound.

The doggo looked up as I was at the door, with a hopeful look, because all the local dogs know we have doggo biscuits behind the counter. Sadly their human hadn't noticed, and tugged the lead.

Dog looks pleadingly at me before more insisten tug on the lead dragged them off with a "I was *this* close to a biscuit" look of anguish on their face...

@masayuki60 there wasn't time, the owner was already past the door and impatiently tugging the dog on without looking back to see why they'd stopped

@masayuki60 We used to have a King Charles Spaniel called Molly, who would literally just sit down in our doorway if her human tried to pass by without coming in, and sit there until they brought her in for her head scratches and doggy biscuit.
